Picvario has a new password settings. To set the criteria for passwords > go to the administration panel > the Security section > Password Policy subsection.
The Password Policy section contains seven criteria for creating a password. You can activate certain criteria by clicking the “IS ACTIVE” checkbox.
Password length - restriction on minimum characters in a password. Any number of characters can be set here; the minimum number is always set to eight characters by default.
Password should contain both uppercase and lowercase characters - after enabling, the password chosen by the user will contain both uppercase and lowercase characters.
Password must contain special characters (~ ! ? @ # $ % ^ & * _ - + ( ) [ ] { } > < / \ | " ' . , : ;) – selected password must contain special characters (only those listed in brackets!).
Password can't be similar to personal info - password can't contain personal information (first name, last name, e-mail).
Password can't be a commonly used password - the password can't be too simple (don't use commonly used combinations).
Password can't be entirely numeric - the password can't consist only of numbers.
Password history – three previously used passwords will be stored in the system. The system will not allow a new password that matches one of them.
Criteria such as minimum password length, use of personal info, commonly used passwords, and numeric passwords are active by default.
When you register or add a new user to Picvario, the password criteria set by the administrator will automatically appear when selecting a new password.
